South Luangwa National Park

Chamilandu Bush Camp

Chamilandu is a small, intimate bushcamp in the heart of the southern part of the South Luangwa National Park. The camp itself homes only three chalets, each set apart overlooking the Luangwa River and the Chendeni Hills as the backdrop. It is perfect for those wanting an authentic safari experience, without compromising on luxury.

Zunguilila Bush Camp

Zunguilila, with only 3 safari tents, is one of the most intimate and exclusive camps in The Bushcamp Company portfolio. The camp looks out to an expansive pan which attract huge herds of game such as buffalo and elephant. This is unique to Zunguilila as the other bushcamps focus on waterhole or lagoon views.

Bilimungwe Bush Camp

Another of the Bushcamp Company properties is Bilimungwe, an intimate and stylish camp with a rustic and authentic safari feel to it. The reason that this camp, along with Chindeni, is one of the favourites of The Bushcamp Company is because of its location.

Kapamba Bush Camp

Situated in the remote, southern area of South Luangwa National Park, Kapamba Camp is a small and intimate camp with colourful soft furnishings. The camp itself is stylish and modern, with open-fronted chalets and enormous bathtubs with private views onto the Kapamba riverbed.

Chindeni Bush Camp

Chindeni is one of the most popular camps out of The Bushcamp Company portfolio, especially for keen birders! The camp overlooks a lagoon which is home to plentiful pelicans, yellow-billed storks, fish eagles, kingfishers and many more. The rooms are spacious and luxurious and the staff and guiding is excellent – an overall great choice of camp.

Crocodile River Camp

Similar to Chikoko Tree Camp, Crocodile Bush Camp is an intimate bush camp that is part of the Remote Africa portfolio. The camp is rebuilt each year from reed and thatch and is accessed only by foot, emphasizing the walking and ‘remote’ element of the camp.

Chikoko Tree Camp

In a remote and wild area, north of the South Luangwa National Park, Chikoko Camp is part of Remote Afria’s Chikoko walking trails. The surrounding area has no roads or vehicles, so everything is brought into the camp before the opening season, and activities are all on foot! This is the beauty of the camp – with a real “Africa as it once was” feel about it.

Tafika Camp

Sat just north of the Nsefu region in the South Luangwa National Park, is Remote Africa’s Tafika Camp. This intimate camp, which can accommodate up to 14 guests, offers authentic accommodation in the heart of the bush, with a delicate balance of comfort and rustic.

Robin's House

This house was originally the family accommodation for Robin and Jo Pope – the owners and founders of Robin Pope Safaris. It sits on private land in the game management area so the accommodation is secluded and private, perfect for families or two couples travelling together.

Luangwa River Camp

Since it was originally built in 2001, the Luangwa River Camp has been refurbished and managed by Robin Pope Safaris who have done an excellent job! On arrival, the infinity pool with a background of vibrant green plant and palm leaves grabs your attention – the perfect contrast to the dry and faded landscape you see if you arrive in the dry season.
