Chindeni Bush Camp

Chindeni is one of the most popular camps out of The Bushcamp Company portfolio, especially for keen birders! The camp overlooks a lagoon which is home to plentiful pelicans, yellow-billed storks, fish eagles, kingfishers and many more. The rooms are spacious and luxurious and the staff and guiding is excellent – an overall great choice of camp.

Crocodile River Camp

Similar to Chikoko Tree Camp, Crocodile Bush Camp is an intimate bush camp that is part of the Remote Africa portfolio. The camp is rebuilt each year from reed and thatch and is accessed only by foot, emphasizing the walking and ‘remote’ element of the camp.

Chikoko Tree Camp

In a remote and wild area, north of the South Luangwa National Park, Chikoko Camp is part of Remote Afria’s Chikoko walking trails. The surrounding area has no roads or vehicles, so everything is brought into the camp before the opening season, and activities are all on foot! This is the beauty of the camp – with a real “Africa as it once was” feel about it.

Tafika Camp

Sat just north of the Nsefu region in the South Luangwa National Park, is Remote Africa’s Tafika Camp. This intimate camp, which can accommodate up to 14 guests, offers authentic accommodation in the heart of the bush, with a delicate balance of comfort and rustic.

Robin's House

This house was originally the family accommodation for Robin and Jo Pope – the owners and founders of Robin Pope Safaris. It sits on private land in the game management area so the accommodation is secluded and private, perfect for families or two couples travelling together.

Luangwa River Camp

Since it was originally built in 2001, the Luangwa River Camp has been refurbished and managed by Robin Pope Safaris who have done an excellent job! On arrival, the infinity pool with a background of vibrant green plant and palm leaves grabs your attention – the perfect contrast to the dry and faded landscape you see if you arrive in the dry season.

Nsefu Camp

Nsefu Camp homes history and exceptional wildlife. Built in 1956 by Norman Carr, this was the first safari lodge to occupy the South Luangwa National Park. It is the only camp located on the rich plains of the Nsefu Sector, and run by Robin Pope Safaris, it excels in its quality of service and guiding.

Tena Tena

Tena Tena has long been a safari favourite in South Luangwa National Park and as the original Robin Pope Safari Camp, it is clear why! With simple safari tents and open-air bathrooms, the accommodation at Tena Tena is authentic and makes you feel completely at one with nature.

Nkwali Camp

Nkwali Lodge is sat on the banks of the Luangwa River, on private land owned and run by Robin Pope Safaris. Its position, outside of the parks boundaries, means that exclusivity and privacy are combined with excellent game viewing… the perfect combination for those looking for seclusion!

Zambia Safaris

Zambia is home to the birthplace of walking safaris in the South Luangwa National Park, the exhilarating land and water based safaris in the Lower Zambezi, and the wild and untouched national parks of Kafue and North Luangwa. The safari experience and game viewing is like no other. Here is a little breakdown of the safari destinations that Zambia home.
