Although it has been open for almost two years now, Ikuka Camp is one of the newer properties to make base in Ruaha National Park, and what an entry it has made! Sitting high on the Mwagusi escarpment, Ikuka Camp itself gets the best of both worlds – the mighty views and a 20-minute or so drive to the parks best game viewing area.

Xanadu Villas and Retreat

Xanadu Villas sits on the south-east coast of Zanzibar island, just 50 minutes from the UNESCO world heritage capital, Stone Town. Qambani is an elegant and relatively new property offering seclusion on Zanzibar’s eastern coast in Michamvi. The property has only six spacious villas and with so much space (tropical gardens, a range of facilities, a soft white beach), you will feel like you have the place to yourself at times!

Nimali Serengeti Camp

As part of the Nimali Africa portfolio (with its sister camp in Tarangire National Park), Nimali Serengeti is a relatively new camp that offers luxury in the heart of the game-filled central Serengeti plains. The resident game here is undeniably good – big herds of buffalo, elephants, antelope and the big cats.

James' safari and private island experience

James and Sarah spent a couple of nights on safari in the northern parks of Tanzania - the Ngorongoro Crater and the southern plains of the Serengeti staying in the secluded Maswa conservancy. They then flew down to Zanzibar to relax after their safari before being treated like royalty on their own private island in Fanjove!

Faru Faru Lodge

Located in a private conservancy in the western Serengeti, Faru Faru boasts an exclusive and ultimate luxury safari experience. While the price tag is slightly higher than some of its contemporaries, it’s main trump card is that there is nobody else here and, as such, at times, you can feel like you have the entire Serengeti all to yourselves.

Ruaha River Lodge

Following the footsteps of its sister property in the Selous, Ruaha River Lodge is a beautifully designed camp which highlights off its position on the banks of the mighty river. As the only ‘lodge’ in Ruaha, it’s a great choice for those less keen on rustic tented camps.

Rufiji River Camp

Run by the Fox family, Rufiji River Camp was one of the first camps established in the park and its reputation has only grown and grown over the last few years! Set on the banks of the Rufiji River, the camp is made of 14 tents and suites, each pitched undernearth thatched roofs and boasting views of the mighty river.

A southern safari adventure!

Kathleen and Bogdan spent two weeks exploring the southern parks of Tanzania before relaxing on Zanzibar's white sand beaches. They took advantage of the special offers in January, and stayed 4 nights (for the price of 3) in Lake Manze Camp in the Selous, and another 4 nights in Mdonya Camp in Ruaha National Park.

David and Alice's Tanzania honeymoon

David and Alice explored the northern parks of Tanzania - Lake Manyara National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater and the northern plains of the Serengeti - before heading down to Zanzibar to relax in the ultimate honeymoon paradise, Boutique Hotel Matlai. They had a wonderful safari on a private basis and did some interesting things like visiting schools and local projects in Zanzibar!
