What our clients are saying about us and our trips...

With web review sites being all the rage these days, it can be a little difficult to sift through the debris to actually find out what a place or hotel is like. From our point of view, having stayed in 99% of the hotels and safari lodges we sell (and quite a few we don't), we think that these reviews can be very misleading as it is impossible to know what the reviewer likes, was looking for, paid etc. etc. In our opinion our job is to find out what you like and match the correct product to you...see how we have done. (please note that ALL of the reviews we feature are 100% real and unedited. If you would like to speak to any of our past clients please let us know)

Furthermore, we have started to gather customer reviews through Trustpilot so please take a look at our page on there to see how we are doing! Trustpilot Reviews >>

Hi Nick,

We had an excellent trip and I would not hesitate to recommend your services to anyone. Additionally, it was nice to see that the people that we dealt with in Tanzania…such as the people at Maru Maru and Multi Choice seemed to like you.

We will send some photos to the website…once we work out how to do that.

Thanks again.

Emilie.

Hi Nick

WE have had yet another fabulous holiday in Tanzania. Beho Beho will never cease to amaze me! The standard is so high in every respect: hospitality, guides, bandas, food, staff. The game was plentiful and it was great to share the experience with our daughters who couldn't quite believe it. Our beach and diving time at Tide's Lodge was equally enjoyable. The beach is amazing and quiet. After speaking to James Balfour, we are looking forward to the redevelopment of the Tides in the near future.

Many thanks for all you help in organising our trip: it was perfect!

Hi Nick,

Well my now husband and I have just returned from our honeymoon and can i just say thank you, it was amazing!

We had our 4 nights at sand rivers selous and we were blown away. The rooms were great, but also we saw so much wildlife, which i thought might not be the case given things i have read about Selous. Anyway, we saw all of the big 5 except a rhino, although apparently they aren't common in Selous, and loved every activity we did. Can we put a big plug in for the fly camping? Both my husband and i cant stop talking about it, we slept under the stars and heard a lion make noises throughout the night, it was one of the highlights of our trip.

All of our flights and transfers went seamlessly (we had no idea the planes we caught would be quite so small, you don't get planes that small very often in aus. Anyway, that was another highlight, sitting up next to the pilot!) and all of the staff we dealt with were lovely and professional. And of course ras nungwi was amazing, we have hundreds of photos of different chunks of ocean that we are now going to make our friends and family look through, not to mention the 1000+ we took on safari...

So thank you for all of your help, we had the most unforgettable time and couldn't rate it highly enough!

Nick.

Thank you for organising a truly wonderful and extremely well planned trip to the Selous and Zanzibar. A perfect break with faultless logistics. We loved it.

Hi Nick,

finally got the PC working OK so just a few words about the Selous trip.

As usual flights went ok with no hitches. Arrived in Dar on time and the transfer to Safari Air was perfect. No problems with the transfer to Lake Manze either,

Lake Manze was excellent. The feel was good, tents spacious and comfortable like Mdonya. Phil and Tricia were perfect hosts. Food was very good (probably better than Mdonya). The activities were perfect, both boats and 4 wheel drives and the usual knowledgeable guides and drivers. The full day drive, although long, was worth it and full of interest. A great lunch stop at Lake Tagalala, the Hot Springs, Selous grave and best of all the Wild Dogs (both going and coming back).

The transfer to Impala was fine. The camp just that little bit more comfort than Lake Manze. Sylvia looked after me very well and even joined me for dinner for 3 of the nights (good for an old farts ego!).
Again the whole experience was superb. The sunset champagne stop on the boat safari was particularly nice, We had the same guide, Gerrard, all the time and there was nothing that he wouldn't do to make the experience memorable. As well as finding the dogs another two times we saw lion with cubs, lion on a kill, Colobus monkeys (quite difficult to find) and on the final morning the elusive Leopard.

Thanks for organizing the trip for me, done with the usual utmost professionalism. Rest assured whenever I get the chance I will recommend your services to anyone wanting the ultimate safari. While I was in Selous my wife was buying us a place in Egypt so looks like I might have to give it a miss next year. However, I have got either Botswana or Namibia in my head so you never know.

I have attached a couple of photos for you to use on your web site (had to send in separate emails due to size)

Thanks and best regards

Peter

Dear Nick, attached is my feedback for the safari. Overall was fantastic, especially Ruaha and Selous.

I think the only feedback I can give for you is that everything was fantastic, the only change I would say is that have a person in Dar there to manage people on the ground especially as the flights keep changing and we arrived in Dar early and SafariAirLink changed without informing us and Lake Manze kindly found out. Also we had a few hours to kill so maybe a recommendation or transport to a Shopping centre or Hotel would have been god as we had 4-5 hrs and the weather was hot, airport is not great. But this is minor nothing to change the overall experience !

Have a look at and let me know of any questions you may have. The fact that I am looking at then next safari tells you everything !

Dear Nick

i just would like to say how happy we are about our Tanzania trip! Thank you very much for your good advise and great camp proposal. Ubuntu was really different, less luxury than Manyara but the nature is unique and very diverse, we have never seen so many animals.

For the migration of the wildbeasts the last week of october was too late... as they start migration middle of august already, but never mind we have seen many other great unusual animals. The guide Venant, was really nice, we were out all days long with him with our private car.

Food was OK.

Finally the flight with tanganika air was perfect... our son could be pilot!!! and we arrived on time...
i definitely will tell my friends about your africa agency.

with all the best regards

Hello Nick!

We are back (and safe) from Tanzania and Zanzibar.

We have really enjoyed our trip and I wanted you to know that everything went well!
All the transfers (by car with Multichoice safari and Serene Tours, and by plane with Coastal) were good.
As planed we stayed at our friend's farm in Simanjiro area for 4 nights after our first night at Kia Lodge (which is ok and practical for one night, we did not expect more). The transfer was quite a journey.

We were very pleased with our 2 nights in Manyara Ranch! We were lucky enough to be alone, no other tourists! So we had Alan (the camp manager) for ourselves and did many game drives per day (before breakfast, after breakfast, before dinner and after dinner!). The tents are very nice and we saw lions, elephants, monkeys, zebras, impalas, etc.... Beautiful place!

Then we flew to Zanzibar. The flight with Coastal was just fine.

Next Paradise is a very nice and welcoming Hotel, very clean, very nice and friendly staff, beautiful beach and very good food (fish&seafood).
It was definitely not full as we found ourselves at dinner with just 3 other couples!... We didn't mind at all but it made me wonder why, when I was still looking for the right accommodation/beachfront bungalow in Zanzibar, Stuart from Next Paradise said most beach bungalows were already booked?...
Anyway, all is well and the family beachfront bungalow/rooms was fine, not huge, just one bathroom and quite small bedrooms but comfortable and very nice terrace almost on the beach!

Very nice pool too (although a lot of missing or broken tiles, would need some fixing!...)

Of course the ocean is warm but the "tide issue" is a bit of a shame. If you know about it it's ok.
It was a bit awkward (and tiring) to have all these locals on the beach ask for money or clothes or shoes or sweets... And most of the time in Italian!?.... Anyway, I ended up giving them two tee shirts and one pair of shoes that would very soon be to small for our youngest son.

We also went snorkelling with One Ocean at Matemwe and dolphins joined us and stayed with us in the water! The (French) people in charge of the dive club One Ocean there were not as friendly as we expected (from Paris!...).

Our visit of Stone Town was rather quick but it was sufficient! What a place!... Definitely to be seen.
We have seen quite a few poor places and local markets but this one was definitely unique, very interesting but also a bit scary, like a different planet! We had the pleasure to meet Max (from Serene Tours but also from Switzerland!) who welcomed us there. Small world!

Anyway, sorry for the long message but I thought my feed back might be useful.
Deborah will also give you a feed back I believe.

Thank you again so much for being so professional, efficient and pleasant!
If we decided to go back to Africa I would definitely contact you again and we will tell our friends about your agency.
Actually, do you also work with other countries than Tanzania?
I would love to see the big gorillas one day! And I would like to go to a place that I have heard of in Malawi. Could you take care of that?
And one last question, can you recommend a travel agency for Galapagos? That's also another project/dream of ours!
But not just yet...

Wishing you all the best,

Yaël

First I wanted to thank you for working with us, and guiding us in the right place for what we were looking for.

On a final note and maybe the most important, it was wonderful holiday and yes we would recommend the place to our friends and yes if we would go back to Zanzibar we would certainly consider returning at the Kilindi Resort and we would be happy to use your services.

Many thanks again and if you have any specials that you send out from time to time, please feel free to add us to your emailing list (at least while we are in the Middle East).
