With web review sites being all the rage these days, it can be a little difficult to sift through the debris to actually find out what a place or hotel is like. From our point of view, having stayed in 99% of the hotels and safari lodges we sell (and quite a few we don't), we think that these reviews can be very misleading as it is impossible to know what the reviewer likes, was looking for, paid etc. etc. In our opinion our job is to find out what you like and match the correct product to you...see how we have done. Hi Nick,

Thanks for your mail. We had a great time.

Safari was excellent. Such good hospitality, and three days felt a perfect time to go for.

Maru Maru was nice and central. Good room and nice evening meal, their transfer didn't show up so we got a taxi which wasn't a problem.

Z hotel was really excellent. Lovely place to spend a few days with excellent service.

The only thing that caught us out was having to pay $48 each for departure tax in Zanzibar as precision air don't pick up that charge. Had to be escorted to the cash machine which was thankfully working.

Thanks for your help and advice. It was really appreciated.

Many thanks for yours.

Yes - back safely after 29 hours travelling, getting home 3 p.m. yesterday.

Trip far exceeded expectations! You picked well - the hotels and camp were perfect. They managed to run a cable to the tent for Elizabeth's machine, and at Z hotel they got her an extension cable as the socket only took one and the lamp was needed. Seyyida there were two sockets, so no problem there.

Many thanks for bottle of wine - I'm afraid I took $40 not the cheapest @ $30, as I don't like Chardonnay, and the more expensive one had other grapes in it as well! There were ones a load more expensive!

Would recommend all three accommodations, and all other transfers went well.

Can fill you in more!!

Hi Nick,

I hope you are well?

We had the most AMAZING time!!! We absolutely loved it!!
Well, apart from the 10 and 12 seater plane experience… but then again i'm not very good at flying. My daughter and now fiancé loved that bit too!

From start to finish we couldn't fault it. The safari experience was truly amazing and I was even emotional at one point as couldn't quite believe how close we were to nature. The Rufiji camp was awesome, everyone was super friendly and the camp was run with military precision. Our guide was very knowledgeable, interesting and funny too.

We were lucky enough to watch a hippo 15 feet from our lodge at 3 o'clock one morning!! I think that made my daughters holiday!!!

I'm so pleased we took your advise to stay inside the reserve.

Zanzibar is beautiful and Sea Breezes was all i'd hoped it would be and more.
The food was second to none, accommodation great and the staff couldn't do enough for us.

My boyfriend proposed to me whilst we were there and Stefano the managers generosity made it an extra special experience for us.

Many thanks for your help and time to enable us to have a fabulous holiday.

I wouldn't hesitate to use you again and recommend you going forward.

Just a quick mail to thank you again for all your efforts in putting together an absolutely fantastic itinerary for us in Tanzania and Mozambique. Em and I had an amazing time, and we can’t wait to return. Having done a lot of research into our possible itinerary, I found you and your website to be the most helpful sources of information which I came across.

Firstly, I just wanted to thank you for your invaluable help in August. We really enjoyed each hotel and they were exactly what we were looking for.

In November we are looking at spending a week in Mafia Island. I don't know if you are such an expert in Mafia too but I thought it was worth asking for your recommendation! We are looking for a nice hotel (small ish, by the beach, good food) with the opportunity to dive nearby.

Dear Nick,

Thank you so much for organising our trip to Tanzania. We had a fabulous time it exceeded all our expectations.

All the accommodation and staff were superb and your recommendations were spot on, safaris at Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater were brilliant managed to see the big 5 and several wildebeest crossings. The camp staff at Sayari presented us with a bottle of champagne and sung to us for our 25th wedding anniversary, something we will remember for ever .

Kilindi in Zanzibar was just what we needed after all those early morning safari drives. All the flights and transfers went very smoothly we were met by someone at every stage. We have to say a very big thank you to you and sorry for waking you up so early to tell you about the fire at Nairobi airport. Just when we thought our holiday wasn't going to start you managed to organise road transport for us to the Tanzanian border and from there Anold from Asilia Africa picked us up.

It may have taken us 10 hours to drive to the Crater but it was a fantastic experience driving through the Masai lands and one that I'm so glad we were able to do, the sights, sounds and traffic,donkeys & cows included, allowed us to see a little bit of the real Africa.

Your knowledge & expertise of Tanzania and safaris is tremendous, and your unfailing patience at my endless questions was commendable. Can't wait to return to Tanzania for our next safari.

Dear Nick,

We are now back from our Sand Rivers/Zanzibar holiday feeling very strange indeed having spent such a long time looking forward to it.

We just wanted to thank you so much for your input and organisation. The whole trip ran smoothly and the tour companies you arranged to meet us in various airports were waiting for us and very professional. Your guidance on locations was spot on by the way! Sand Rivers was nothing short of perfect and the R&R supplied in Zanzibar brought us down to earth gently.

Thank you too for the daily updates on the situation out of Nairobi airport after the fire. The BA website and phone numbers were pretty useless so your input and calming tones were invaluable.

I very much hope we can do business again in the future.

Dear Nick,

I wanted to follow up with you on our fantastic trip to Africa.

It was great experience for all of us especially children seeing the African animals in a real life in few meter distance.

Everything worked very well, in all Hotels and lodges we had personal friendly reception by the managers- service , food and accommodation was excellent and the people very nice, supportive and friendly. All Guides are very professional and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the trip in beautiful Tanzania and Zanzibar very much.

Thanks for your support and professional consultancy- what you proposed for our family has absolutely met our expectation and was the right decision to go for Selous and Ruaha and spend one week in Zanzibar on the beach!

We definitely will be back to Africa!
