Where to Stay

Porini Amboseli Camp

from $850 per person per night for 2026/27

One of the favourites in the midst of Amboseli National Park
Porini Amboseli Camp, Amboseli National Park, Kenya

When it opened in 2001, Porini Amboseli was one of the first eco-camps in Kenya and today, is still one of the favourite camps in Amboseli National Park. Staff at Porini are all locally employed and trained Masai warriors and elders, with the exception of the manager and head chef. Along with the staff and the nine canvased tents, Porini truly gives an authentic and intimate safari experience in Kenya.

Wide variety of game viewing activities

The camp is relatively simple

About the location

Most famous for its views of Africa’s highest mountain, Amboseli is one of the most photographed park in East Africa. Porini Camp sits just outside the park, in the Masai-owned conservancy called Selenkay.

Amboseli offers a huge diversity of game with large herds of elephants, and whilst the Selenkay Conservancy is generally bushier than the greater Amboseli ecosystem, the game viewing is still prominent, seen on foot and in safari vehicles.
