Gorilla trekking in Rwanda and Uganda
For those looking for the ultimate adventure in East Africa, then trekking through Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda or Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda in search of the endangered mountain gorillas is the perfect choice. Sharing around 96% of the same DNA as humans, gorillas are our closest relative. They are social, gentle and intelligent animals and it is said that observing them in the wild, truly shows this.
There is something so special, yet quite daunting, about standing metres from a silverback weighing around 200kg! For more information, please see our gorilla trekking pages.
Walking Safaris in Africa
If you are keen on spending a night in the heart of the African wilderness, you could consider a walking safari and a night spent fly camping. The term fly camping can be used to describe a very lightweight camp used on mobile safaris and its ultimate goal is to bring people closer to nature than ever before. Sometimes fly camping can be as simple as a thin mattress and a mosquito net – giving you the ultimate sleeping under the stars feeling.
Whilst the experience is made safe by the guides, it is one of the most exhilarating feelings ever… What can beat falling asleep under the star-lit sky, hearing roars and footsteps in the middle of the night, and waking up to the smell of fresh coffee in the middle of the untouched wilderness?
Please see our walking safaris section for countries and locations that specialise in offering the best you can get.

As much as AI has changed the way we all approach our lives, there is still no substitute for picking up the phone and having a chat through the options with one of us on +44 1525 840 149
This allows us to completely tailor the property choices, costs and itinerary length to your needs…but we also understand that this is not always possible with the busy lives we all lead.
With this in mind, we have also put together a safari finder tool that should help you to narrow down the initial stages at which point we can jump in to “round off the edges” as it were.
Alternatively please feel free to send us an email with your timings, group size and rough likes and dislikes and we can get the ball rolling.
