How to choose the perfect safari hotel, camp or lodges for your stay in Africa.
Every great safari needs a great location or locations and we've hand-picked some of Africa's very best camps, lodges and hotels for you, but don't take our word for it, dive in... game-filled savannahs, lush rainforests, idyllic beaches, vast deserts and idyllic islands to name a few. In this section we have tried to give you a brief run through of where to go and what to do in each of the East African countries. As a specialist operator to Africa, there is much that we know and haven’t been able to run through on this site and so we always recommend that the simplest way to go about planning your luxury Africa safari is to get in touch.
As is discussed above, many of the properties in Africa don’t fall neatly into the international “star rating” system where, if they have a pool, satellite tvs, concierge etc, they are seen as “5 star” or “luxury”. With this in mind, we have come up with our own rating system for camps and properties that take into account factors such as the below:
Value for money – compared to its peers, does the camp offer good value for money given the experience they are offering.
Safari experience – is the level of guiding fitting for the price being paid and is the game viewing reliable.
Beach experience – the same concept as for the safari experience.
Location – is the property well in the best area for activities
This is just a few of the categories but, of course, there is nothing like having a chat with us to really get to the heart of which property will suit you best and so deserves that “5 star” rating for you!
