Serena Lake Victoria Lodge

The lodge is beautifully situated on the shores of Lake Victoria in Uganda’s Wakiso District. It is just a 35-minute drive from Kampala, Entebbe and Entebbe International Airport. In that respect, it is a good option for those who are staying a couple of nights here, but if you are just doing a quick overnight in Entebbe off an international flight, there are closer hotels.

The lodge is huge in size. The main area is very spacious and grand, with seating areas, a water fountain, a dining area, a bar, curio shop and reception area. All of the facilities of Serena Lake View Lodge are spread across the grounds and the gardens. To go down to the golf course, you take a golf buggy down to the lake house. This is a separate area of the lodge, with its own bar, dining area, lounge areas and then the golf course.

There are a variety of room types and are all set in different buildings around the lodge. The rooms are very large and “chain-like” with large beds, well-appointed ensuite bathrooms and an outdoor balcony, with views looking out to Lake Victoria.

There are so many facilities in Serena Lake View Lodge that you can do as much or as little as you’d like. They have a large swimming pool, golf course, spa, garden area and many bar and dining areas. They have their own jetty and boat so you can organise a sunset river cruise on Lake Victoria which is a really nice thing to do. If you want to explore a city, you can get to Kampala in 40 minutes or so…a bustling city of nightlife and excitement.
