Apoka Safari Lodge

Kidepo Valley is located in the very northern part of Uganda, bordering South Sudan. As such, its location is much drier compared to the rest of Uganda (which is very green and lush).

This is regarded one of Uganda’s most magnificent wilderness, with grasslands and savannahs extending out in all directions towards distant mountain ranges in Uganda, Kenya and South Sudan. Getting here involves a flight with Uganda’s internal airline operator.

Apoka Safari Lodge comprises of a large main area and 10 en-suite guest rooms surrounded by stunning rocky kopjes. The lodge looks out to the beautiful savannahs of Kidepo and the swimming pool is carved out of a large rock, so it all feels very natural and rustic, in the most luxurious of ways.

Apoka Safari Lodge has 10 large rooms in the rocky kopjes of Kidepo. The rooms have natural canvas walls, large sitting rooms and private verandas with plenty of furniture and places to relax, read and sprawl. The interior is cosy and fitting, with hand-woven carpets, plush towels and luxury duvets and dressing gowns.

You can enjoy the wildlife from the privacy of your veranda, your outdoor bathtub or the terraces of the main lodge. The best way to see the wildlife is up close: on foot, or in one of the open-top Landcruisers. The park is completely remote, with no other lodge, city or light in sight so you will feel like you have the park to yourself.
