About the location
As there are few roads in this remote area of North Luangwa, the best way to get into the camp is to fly into the local airstrip, usually after a safari in South Luangwa National Park. The camp sits on the banks of the Mwaleshi River and with nothing but wilderness around the camp, visitors will have a genuine feeling of seclusion.

camp Layout
The main mess area at Mwaleshi Camp is raised up on the riverbank, with views out onto the peaceful Mwaleshi River, perfect for an “armchair safari”! When the weather is hot and the river is shallow (during the dry season), the Mwaleshi is a perfect place to cool off in, and the camp has conveniently placed sun-loungers and a shaded area for its guests.

Wildlife & Activities at Mwaleshi Camp
Mwaleshi Camp is the ultimate place to experience a remote walking safari in the North Luangwa National Park. The seclusion of the camp provides a wild and authentic bush walk, with professional guides and rangers, in search of elephant, antelope, buffalo, wildebeest and a whole host of predators including hyena, lions and African wild dog.
Game drives are not offered, but the camp does have a vehicle to take guests to a further destination to start their walking safari.
