Where to Stay

Waterberry Lodge

from $600 per person per night for 2026/27

A much-loved family-friendly lodge further upstream from Victoria Falls

The main draw to Waterberry Lodge is that it provides the most calming atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of Victoria Falls. With well-maintained gardens and an intimate number of guest rooms, Waterberry Zambezi Lodge is the perfect base for those wanting to combine activites in Livingstone, whilst coming back to a peaceful and serene lodge.

Further away from the hustle and bustle of Victoria falls but still good access in

Availability – only seven rooms!

About the location

The lodge is a 35-minute drive from Livingstone and Victoria Falls on the Zambian side. As Victoria Falls is the main attraction to this area and lodge, they are easily accessible.

The advantage of Waterberry Lodge and its location is that the area is peaceful and undisturbed, without the light and sound pollution around the falls. The Waterberry Conservation Area is a safe space for the antelopes and other small wildlife.

Do see Parks & Regions on this page.

lodge Layout

The seven rooms at Waterberry Lodge are placed around the beautifully landscaped gardens – some are on the riverbank and others are overlooking the private lake with amazing birdlife. The lodge has two swimming pools; one large pool at one end and a smaller plunge pool on the other. Around both pools, there are plenty of sun loungers and seating.

Do see our new Waterberry Lodge Picture Gallery further down this page.

Waterberry Lodge Accomodation

The seven rooms are solid structures with high thatch roofs. Inside, mosquito nets, overhead fans and air conditioning provide a cool and comfortable stay for guests coming in periods of the year that are hotter. The rooms each have an en-suite bathroom and a private terrace for sunbathing, birdwatching, private dinners or just relaxing in the heat of the day.

Wildlife & Activities at Waterberry Lodge

Although the lodge is located further upstream, the access to Livingstone and Victoria Falls is very easy. In-house activities include a visit to the falls, Zambezi cruises, fishing, birding, a village walk and a town tour.

Additional activities can be added (which are organized externally) such as helicopter and microlight flights, bungee jumps, white water rafting, canoeing, horse riding, dinner on the Royal Livingstone Express and many more. It is best to book these through Waterberry Lodge during your stay.
