A brief Overview of Kwando, Linyanti and Selinda
Formed from the flow of the Kwando River that, as with the Kavango River, started its life in the highlands of Angola. As the river hits the soft Kalahari sands, as with the Okavango, it spreads out to form the Linyanti marshes and, in the fuller years, a full delta of marshland to the north of the Kwando and Linyanti Rivers, which mark the border between Namibia and Botswana.
Offering a much boarder spectrum of habitats from the marsh and wetlands around the Linyanti and Kwando Rivers to the drier, mopane forests and the dry river beds of the Savute Channel and the Selinda Spillway allows this region of Botswana to offer a good range of animals to see.
As mentioned in the Chobe section, this area gets very good numbers of zebra in particular as the dry season comes into affect and the herds have completed their mover from the pans, through Chobe National Park and up to the rivers edge.

Each of the concessions offers something a little different and all, arguably, come into their prime from a game viewing perspective, from around June until the end of the year as the other areas of Chobe and the Okavango become drier and water more scarce.

Need more help?
As much as AI has changed the way we all approach our lives, there is still no substitute for picking up the phone and having a chat through the options with one of us on +44 1525 840 149
This allows us to completely tailor the property choices, costs and itinerary length to your needs…but we also understand that this is not always possible with the busy lives we all lead.
With this in mind, we have also put together a safari finder tool that should help you to narrow down the initial stages at which point we can jump in to “round off the edges” as it were.
Alternatively please feel free to >send us an email with your timings, group size and rough likes and dislikes and we can get the ball rolling.
