Loisaba Tented Camp

Perched on the edge of the escarpment in Laikipia, Loisaba Tented Camp offers panoramic views across the plains to Mount Kenya and luxurious accommodation in a remote location. The area has great opportunity for spotting game such as elephant, lion and packs of African wild dog amongst many others.

The main mess area is on a raised wooden deck, featuring a lounge area with sofas and a bar on one end, and a more formal dining area on the other. To accompany the relaxing feel of the lounge, lies an infinity pool with plenty of sun loungers. The 12 tents (six double or twin and three family units) sit either side of the main mess, and are positioned in a line to each have a piece of that picturesque view.

The canvased tents are very modem and comfortable, with polished wooden floor and subtle African designed furniture. The bed and the outdoor wide verandah each face the addictive view, the perfect places to relax with a morning coffee. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom, including a powerful and high tech shower. The two furthest tents from the mess area have exclusive use to a private infinity pool and an al fresco dining area.

Loisaba offers game drives (day and night) and bush walks with knowledgeable Samburu guides. Horse riding, for experienced equestrians, camel riding, fishing, mountain biking and cultural visits to Samburu villages can also be arranged, as well as a unique opportunity to spend a morning with the resident anti-poaching sniffer dogs as an additional activity.
