Very much the new boy on the block, Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge is already taking the accolades for being the highest specification property in the Ngorongoro Highlands at the best price possible. Due to its location right at the entrance to the park, and the fact it is about half the price of most contemporaries, we would probably agree that the fuss is probably warranted!

About the location

One of the very last properties on the main road that runs from Karatu to the Ngorongoro Conservation area, Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge is very well placed for those that have decided not to stay inside the park boundaries and offers great views out to the Ngorongoro and other mountains that rise from the horizon to the west.

lodge Layout

All of the vast cottages are located in two orderly lines that look out from the sides of the gentle slope to the hills beyond. This ordered layout and the scrupulously manicured gardens make for a strangely organised feel to the place but it is, none-the-less a good way to arrange things to allow everyone a view and privacy.

Wildlife & Activities at Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge

Set in around 50 acres of forest, on the slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater, the property is the perfect place to use as a base for exploring the Crater or the nearby Lake Manyara National Park. This area is also known for its coffee plantations and Masai village visits which, while not possible on the estate, can be arranged.
