A brief Overview of Nairobi
As Kenya’s economic star has risen, so has its iconic capital to the point that it is now one of the more technologically advanced cities in Africa. For many tourists, it is a stopping point for a night or two on the way between Kenya’s safari parks but, upon closer inspection, it can be a rewarding place to spend a couple of days exploring.
Approximately 30 minutes to the west of Nairobi centre, is the suburb of Karen. This is one of the best places to be based and a few of the highlights to see while in the area are watching the elephant orphans being fed at Daphne Sheldrick’s Centre, feeding the giraffe at Giraffe Manor or the Giraffe centre, or simply relaxing in one of the private gardens with a view of the Ngong Hills in the distance.

Best time to visit Nairobi
The main dry season months between June and November and again from January to March are when the city is, arguably, at its best although, particularly in the June to November window, many of the main attractions become very busy with fellow tourists.
Outside of these periods the weather can be changeable but, with temperatures similar throughou the year, there is never a “bad” time as such.

Need more help?
As much as AI has changed the way we all approach our lives, there is still no substitute for picking up the phone and having a chat through the options with one of us on +44 1525 840 149
This allows us to completely tailor the property choices, costs and itinerary length to your needs…but we also understand that this is not always possible with the busy lives we all lead.
With this in mind, we have also put together a safari finder tool that should help you to narrow down the initial stages at which point we can jump in to “round off the edges” as it were.
Alternatively please feel free to >send us an email with your timings, group size and rough likes and dislikes and we can get the ball rolling.
