About the location
Set amongst the many small rivers and streams that run out from the Seronera and Grumeti Rivers, the region around Migration Camp is truly leopard territory. This is an area that the wildebeest really have to brave in order to get through to the more open grasslands of the north.
As such, while the game here can be spectacular at times, it can also take a bit of looking to find it amongst the scrub bush land.

lodge Layout
The camp itself is outstanding, sitting on a series of huge boulders that lie on the eastern side of the valley, allowing views out to the valley floor from the main areas and all of the rooms. On top of this, with great service and a superb menu, this is a real treat for anyone. Inside the rooms have a spacious and luxurious feel to them with leather and local woods the order of the day. The main areas, similarly, are of the highest order and so a stay here definitely ticks the “luxury” box.

Serengeti Migration Camp Accomodation
The stilted rooms and main area nestle into the side of the valley and look down to one of the best migratory corridors of the region.
Each of the rooms has its own balcony and features walk in showers and very comfortable sitting and sleeping areas. As with all of the Elewana properties, this is the height of luxury and is guaranteed to give enough comfort for even the most “roughing it” averse!

Wildlife & Activities at Serengeti Migration Camp
As mentioned in the sections above, this is an area of the Serengeti that tends to have pretty sporadic and, at times, hard to see wildlife and so it can struggle to compete with “migration” camps such as Sayari and Lamai…but that sort of misses the point of it in our opinion.
In a park and area of the world that is getting busier and busier Migration Camp offers the feeling of having this corner of Africa to yourself with stunning views and intimate game viewing.
