About the location
Set right over on the south western corner of the park, close to Gursi Swamp, Swala is probably about as far from modern life as is possible in northern Tanzania these days; this is an area where you will only see the vehicles from the property and nothing else. Within an hour’s drive is the excellent game viewing of Silali swamp.

The vast rooms are spread out well, all looking out to the central watering hole although, for our money, there is not really enough undergrowth to give them total privacy from each other but, at the end of dry season, this is to be expected somewhat.

Swala Safari Camp Accomodation
As mentioned above, the rooms are a good size, based on a permanent plinth with verandah and spacious tent. The rooms provide a welcome and comfortable sanctuary from the day’s activities and, during the heat of the day, a great place to see what can be seen down at the watering hole.

Wildlife & Activities at Swala Safari Camp
As with Oliver’s, Swala is one of the only properties in the park allowed to walk and to also conduct night drives inside the park borders. Along with standard game driving, they offer the whole range.
