Where to Stay

Tarangire Treetops

from $1,050 per person per night for 2026/27

A spectacular camp just outside this beautiful park
Tarangire treetops

Tarangire Treetops is a cool and quirky property and is our pick of where to stay at the top end around Tarangire. It is true that it is not right inside the park and so doesn't feature as good game...but it does offer exceptional service and the chance to sleep in a baobab tree house which, in itself, is enough reason to stay! Featuring great food and service a couple of nights here is sure to make any trip memorable.

Beautiful and unique rooms, good food

Price, not the best location

About the location

Set over to the east of Tarangire National Park, Tarangire Treetops is one of those properties that simply makes you fall in love with it. As mentioned above, it is not that the game viewing around the camp is all that spectacular, but it is the overall experience that it offers that makes it stand out.

hotel Layout

The rest of Tarangire Treetops has been similarly thought out with the main area built, again, around an ancient baobab tree that juts out through the thatching. The emphasis here is on relaxing and taking in the surroundings with a great swimming pool and watering hole which often attracts local game such as Kudu and waterbuck.

Tarangire Treetops Accomodation

Each of the rooms on its own is something to write home about. Having been cleverly built in amongst the branches of one of the local baobabs or mahoganies, they tap into the child in each of us and never fail to excite.

On top of this, they have been superbly decorated with private balconies, open showers and comfortable beds that face out to the African dawn.

Wildlife & Activities at Tarangire Treetops

As mentioned before, the game in this area, outside of Tarangire National Park, is not prolific with the occasional night time visitor to the watering hole being the main interest.

This being said, with their own access road into the more southerly areas of the National park, the game viewing is still really worth considering.
