Day

1-2

Victoria Falls botswana

Met in Livingstone international airport on arrival and transferred to Waterberry Zambezi Lodge to stay for 2 nights on an all-inclusive basis. Your stay here includes all meals and drinks and 2 in-house activities per day. Waterberry Lodge is situated on the banks of the Zambezi River about 22 km from Livingstone, towards Kazungula. The main double-storey lodge area overlooks the Zambezi River and the game park beyond. Upstairs the main lounge is open to the high thatch with plenty of seating and boasts a well-stocked bar with magnificent views. Meals are served in the dining area or alfresco on the sun terrace that overlooks the river. At Victoria Falls, the earth splits open and swallows one of Africas greatest rivers, the mighty Zambezi, creating the largest sheet of falling water on earth. As the water hits the narrow depths of the Batoka Gorge beneath, it blasts a cloud of mist skywards, lending the falls their local name mosi-oa-tunya (the smoke that thunders). When the Zambezi is at its fullest, the mist hangs a permanent raincloud above the falls, showering visitors on even the sunniest of days and visible for miles around.

Day

3-4

Chobe National Park botswana

Transferred across the border into Botswana to Chobe Elephant Camp to stay for 2 nights on an all-inclusive basis. Located high on the edge of a rocky ridge overlooking the famous Chobe River is Chobe Elephant Camp. This uniquely designed lodge has been built to take advantage of the incredible views overlooking the sweeping floodplains while offering a comfortable refuge from the harsh African conditions. The Chobe Riverfront is an elephant mecca; home to the largest density of African elephants in the world. Travel here during winter and you'll fast run out of fingers and toes while you count them drinking at the riverbanks and socialising out on the floodplains.

Day

5-6

Okavango Delta botswana

Transferred to Kasane airport to fly to the Okavango Delta (Kwara airstrip). Met on arrival and transferred to Kwanda Splash Camp to stay for 2 nights on an all-inclusive basis. Splash Camp is located in the vast Kwara private concession within the heart of the Okavango Delta, alongside the Moremi Game Reserve. This exclusive setting amidst shady trees boasts permanent water and seasonal floodplains together with classic bush wilderness. The Okavango Delta is where the wild things are: an immense, waterlogged oasis alive with elephants and birdlife, adrift in the middle of Kalahari sands. The real magic of the Delta lies in its water, trickling through from far away highlands, and spreading across the channels and floodplains.

Day

7-8

Okavango Delta botswana

Transferred to the airstrip (Kwara airstrip) to fly to Pom Pom airstrip. Met on arrival and transferred to Pom Pom Camp to stay for 2 nights on an all-inclusive basis. Pom Pom is located in the heart of the Okavango Delta in a private concession to the west of the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp is classically designed in the style of safari camps of old camp overlooking the lily strewn Pom Pom Lagoon. Activities included in this delta paradise are game drives, night drives, walking safaris and mokoro excursions all taken with local expert guides. The tranquillity of the delta and beauty of its winding water ways, open lagoons and tree islands will be a highlight of your safari. Boating is offered when water levels permit.

Pom Pom Camp

Day

9-10

Nxai Pan National Park botswana

Transferred to the airstrip to fly via Maun to the Naxi Pan National Park. Met on arrival and transferred to Nxai Pan Camp to stay for 2 nights on an all-inclusive basis. Nxai Pan Camp lies just north of the Maun-Nata road and adjoins Makgadikgadi Pans National Park on its northern border. The vast Makgadikgadi Pans are the last evidence of a prehistoric super lake that was once found here, and today it is a one of the last true wilderness areas left in Africa. Famous explorers, who passed through this region on their voyage to the interior, include David Livingstone, James Chapman and Thomas Baines. Modestly sized and largely under-visited, Nxai Pan is one of Botswanas best-kept secrets for a desert safari. The action takes place around Nxai Pan itself and the parks two waterholes, which keep wildlife in the area year-round.
