What To Do

Zanzibar Honeymoon

An island of white sands and swaying palms

The exotic island of Zanzibar conjures images of billowing palms and spice farms, Zanzibari women in their multicoloured kangas wandering along the pristine white sands next to the azure waters of the Indian Ocean. If this isn't a place of romance we don't know where else is. (our founder, Nick, proposed to his wife on the beach in Zanzibar he was so overwhelmed by it all!)

For those that are after a destination that is a little more memorable than the standard fare, Zanzibar has become one of the most popular destinations for some beach time along the African coast and for good reason. The island now features some stunning boutique hotels which, with their seclusion and setting, lend themselves for those looking for a bit more privacy and extra service.

Added to the beaches are the fascinating historical elements in the small quarter of the island’s capital, Stone Town. The chaotic and, at times, bewildering alleyways host stunning carved doors and many an alladin’s cave of antiquities from around the world…some real and some not!

A final element is, of course, the range of water based activities you can get up to here with some of the best kite and wind surfing in the world as well as some excellent snorkeling and diving for those that are interested in the marine life. This is truly a destination that has it all.

A bit of a harder month to predict than January and February as the humidity tends to build and the winds start to blow in the run up to the main rainy period that runs through until June.
