Zambia and Zanzibar
Combine an exhilarating safari in Zambia and an idyllic island experience in Zanzibar!
Although Zambia ticks all the boxes for an exhilarating safari experience, it is a landlocked country so it does not have a beach to jump onto after your safari. This itinerary combines a safari in the South Luangwa and the Lower Zambezi National Parks in Zambia, and then fly onto the paradise island of Zanzibar for an idyllic beach stay.

1 – 3
South Luangwa National Park zambia
Met in Lusaka international airport on arrival and transferred to the domestic airport to connect onto the Proflight to Mfuwe. Met on arrival and transferred to Chindeni Bush Camp to stay for 3 nights on an all-inclusive basis including all game viewing activities on a shared basis. Chindeni is one of the most popular camps out of The Bushcamp Company portfolio, especially for keen birders! The camp overlooks a lagoon which is home to plentiful pelicans, yellow-billed storks, fish eagles, kingfishers and many more. The rooms are spacious and luxurious and the staff and guiding is excellent, an overall great choice of camp.

4 – 7
Lower Zambezi National Park zambia
Transferred to Mfuwe Lodge to fly to the Lower Zambezi National Park. Met on arrival and transferred to Amanzi Lodge to stay for 3 nights on an all-inclusive basis including all game viewing activities on a shared basis. Amanzi camp is the perfect option for those looking for something with a cosy safari ambiance, as well as the luxurious amenities that comes with it. The camp is located furthest east of the Lower Zambezi National Park, on the Ntwenya Channel. The area is surrounded by stunning thorn tree forests and makes for an exciting game viewing experience.

Lusaka zambia
Transferred to the airstrip to fly to Lusaka. Met on arrival and transferred to Latitude 15 hotel to stay for 1 night.

9 – 13
Zanzibar Island zanzibar
Transferred to Lusaka international airport to fly via Nairobi to Zanzibar (the international flight is not included in the itinerary cost). Met on arrival and transferred to Pongwe Beach Hotel to stay for 5 nights on a half board basis. Located right at the southern end of the white sand that runs from Matemwe to Chwake, Pongwe Beach Hotel has, we would argue, managed to claim itself the best chunk of beach on the island! Featuring a permanent sand beach, complete with lapping waves and azure waters, there is very little to fault the location. It is true that it firmly aims at the lower end of the market and, as such, you can't expect lavish rooms or air-conditioning but if all you want to do is lie by the ocean, then this is a great choice.

Transferred to Zanzibar airport to connect onto international flights home (booked by you).
