Where to Stay

Mfuwe Lodge

from $755 per person per night for 2026/27

The lodge famed for the elephants that sometimes walk right through the reception!

Famed for its elephants that have been known to wander right through the lodge in search of the wild mango tree in the courtyard, Mfuwe Lodge is a smart property in the prime game-filled Mfuwe region of South Luangwa National Park.

Lots of amenities, great views over the game-filled lagoons

Busy area as a lot of the camps do their game drives in this area, larger hotel

About the location

Mfuwe Lodge sits inside South Luangwa National Park in an area with prolific game, and its location close to the main gate makes it very convenient. The lodge overlooks a lagoon which attracts resident animals throughout the year. They have a few resident hippos and during our trip, we saw an elephant balance up on its hind legs to feed from the tall tree.
