About the location
The camp is situated on a tranquil bend of the Kapamba River, overlooking vast, open plains of the South Luangwa National Park. The area surrounding Zunguilila is quite dense with woodland and mopane forests so in our opinion, the game is a little more difficult to spot. That said, elephant regularly pass through camp and large herds of buffalo are often seen on the expansive pan.

camp Layout
Zunguilila has a real “safari bush camp” feel to it. The main area is a canvassed structure consisting of a cosy lounge area and an intimate dining space. The tents are either side of the main area, keeping the camp compact and tidy.

Zunguilila Bush Camp Accomodation
The rooms are Zunguilila are canvassed tents and have a very authentic “safari feel” to them. They are extremely spacious and the dark wooden floor gives it that classy and luxurious feel. Each room is en-suite and features a cooper free-standing bath which overlooks the plains of the South Luangwa.

Wildlife & Activities at Zunguilila Bush Camp
As with the other bush camps, activities include day and night game drives (with mandatory sundowners in between of course), and walking safaris. It is possible to walk between the bush camps and this is around 3-4 hours depending on which camp and route taken.
The mopane forest and dense woodland around the camp is not ideal for walking safaris so often the guests will be taken out on vehicle to another point to start the walking safari.
