About the location
As with many of the newer properties on the island, the plot that Kasha owns is located on the northern fringe of the island, where the coral ledge creates a fall to the beach.
The north‑eastern coastline provides access to the waters surrounding Mnemba Atoll, where snorkelling and diving reveal colourful reef fish, sea turtles and occasional dolphins. The shallow reef flats near Matemwe expose starfish and crabs at low tide, while kayaking and gentle paddle‑boarding are often possible in calm conditions. The area’s clear water makes marine wildlife encounters particularly rewarding for guests seeking soft adventure.
However, the tidal range can limit direct beach access, and the elevated cliffside position means swimming requires planning around tide times or joining organised excursions.
hotel Layout
With two lines of rooms, the sea front and sea facing, the rooms are pretty well spaced and have good views to the sea. A short walk from most of these is the good pool area that has a good sized pool, recliners and bar/restaurant.
Up from the bungalows, separated by a garden of sorts, is the main area which contains the restaurant, the “Baraza” bar and the entrance. To us it is a bit of a strange area as, being so far from the beach front, it is not really used during the day, but it kind of makes sense in the evening, as a way of getting people together. On the whole not a bad layout, but could feel a little disjointed.

Kasha Boutique Hotel Accomodation
The rooms at Kasha really are the best feature of the hotel with a sitting area, good sized bed, outside lounge area, outside sun beds and an outside plunge pool; all for this reasonable price! It is no wonder that many couples simply stay in their rooms the entire time they are here.
