About the location
Set right at the top of the island, it is possible to argue that the beach at Nungwi is in the top 3 on the island and still doesn’t fail to impress.
The northern coastline provides reliable swimming conditions and clear water for snorkelling among reef fish, rays and small coral formations, with boat trips toward nearby reefs offering encounters with turtles, dolphins and occasional reef sharks. Kayaking and paddle‑boarding are often possible in the gentle lagoon, while divers can access deeper coral walls where larger marine species sometimes appear. Sunset cruises from Nungwi frequently spot dolphins offshore, adding a romantic wildlife element.
However, some aspects may feel less polished: the energetic surroundings can be noisy at peak times, and the compact beachfront offers less seclusion than quieter stretches of the island.
hotel Layout
As one of second “round” of properties on the island, the thin nature of their plot has given the hotel the feel of being a little cramped.
This has meant that they has squashed quite a lot into a small area; with 3 restaurants, a pool and sun lounger area, although they have managed it well.

The Z Hotel Accomodation
Using coconut wood in each room gives these pretty simple rooms a refined feel and, while not vast, they are of a good size with airconditioning and a balcony with sea views.
With a newly constructed beach frontage there are now a good range of rooms to choose from with a similarly good range of price points.
